April 14 - San Onofre ("SANO") School - Leadership Day
There are approximately 550 students at SANO ranging from TK thru 8th Grade, 35 teachers and 30 aides/playground supervisors (mainly military spouses). The day included a Flag Ceremony with the Marine Corp Color Guard followed by awesome performances by the 2nd graders and the Marine Corp Band. The remainder of the day included speakers from the base (including Commanding General, MCIWest - MCB Camp Pendleton Brigadier General Jason G. Woodworth), other student performances, students speaking on leadership and classroom tours - so visitors could see student leadership in action.
